Zilker Botanical Garden: Austin Tx

I took an afternoon off work for a change of scenery. What a wonderful place to get away to. The weather was on my side and I had a beautiful sunny day with warm temperatures. It was also exciting to find so many colorful subjects waiting for me!

Nature at work all around me....(even a cabbage patch), and where nature wasn't active we had the man-made versions to enjoy: the butterfly benches. These are the first ones I ever saw, but now I find they are popping up at different parks and street corners. My grandmother always called me her "butterfly", so anything relating to butterflies is special to me. Then again, I don't know anyone who isn't fascinated by their complexity, grace and beauty!

Wow' what great photos, especially the turks cap and the bug on the rosebud. The others are great too. I'd love to go to Zilker Park sometime...I bet spring time there is just awesome.
